Don''t buy into the Danner Hype! Not comfy at first or still after 2 years. Soles wore out within 1 year. Save your $ and go with Rockies or Bates in this style. At least you will save money if they, too, are uncomfy.

Great boot. I bought mine at the MCX in LeJeune about 8 yrs ago. I''ve had the soles replaced several times. Just dont submerge them in water or wear them in the summer.

Had a pair many years ago. Got rid of them because they were too narrow. Went through many boots since Rocky, Bates, 5.11, Altama, Belleville Never could find a pair that could stand up to the Acadia. Recently broke down and found a pair that fit a bit wider, and I couldn''t be happier.

I''ve been wearing these boots for 12 years. They are really comfortable and can with stand harsh treatment in the backcountry or on the streets in the city. They keep your feet dry in the Winter. You can slosh through mud and just hose them off. They hold a shine for your visits to the academy.I wear mine on the hot beaches in the Summer with no problem. Great boot.

I also have worn this boot for about 13 years. By far the most comfortable ever worn. I change my soles out yearly but its by choice. The hold their own. I change them because I like knowing they look new. It''s also unhealthy for your feet and back to wear a sole all the way down.
