Bates Durashock Defender 8" Side-Zip Boot

This will be my third pair and will always buy this boot!!! Best boot PERIOD for the money! Have used in the United States Navy on board ships and they hold up very well compared to other boots. They also have a great look to them, will always be a lace to toe fan. Very comfortable, and breath great. Will buy till the day I die!!!

I have experienced other shoes in the course of my duties in SWAT and my duties in Fugitive Enforcement. This is an excellent shoe with comfort and perfection. I highly recommend this shoe.

I just ordered my third pair of the Bates Durashock Defenders. I walk an average of 3 miles a day on pavement and concrete floors and never have a problem. I have bought a couple other Bates boots over the years, but I always come back to these. I even bought a pair to wear off duty. My opinion, best boots you can get.

Recently purchased these Bates Durashocks. They took only 2-3 days too break in, comfortable from day one. Bates is one great boot, for the price.

These boots are extremely comfortable after you break them in. They're made pretty wide, and even though I have wide feet, I ordered them in a medium width. My feet still have plenty of room. I took the inserts that came with them out put in a better pair, which made them even better! I'd love to see these in a 6 zip up for the summer, because the 8 will be too hot.

Great boots...use them for tactical and everyday use...would recommend to anyone.

I dont own a pair BUT I hear GREAT things and they shine unbelievably shiny If i was to ever get another pair of boots I just might get these boots instead of danners....

After being issued several types of boots, from time spent in The Corps,BP, Detention officer and now with ICE. I got to say these are one of the most comfortable and durable boots around. I am on my third pair!

I love these boots. I had these boots for 4 years and they still give me a good shine. The leather is very comfortable and breathable. I highly recommend them.

I have had these boots for about 4 months now and have no major complaints. They take a little breaking in at first, but once thats done, they are the most comfortable boots you can have. They are still in great condition and have little if any scuff marks. These easily handle the 8-10 hours of foot patrol and responding to calls I perform 5 times a week.

Excellent boot. I have been looking for the perfect pair of boots for some time and have finally found them in Bates. The Defender fits perfect, provides support on those long days and looks as if they will hold up through it all. Everything I was looking for in a boot. Looking to get another pair for back-up.

I've had these boots for over two years. They clear the metal detector and take a beautiful spit shine. They are still in good condition but I need to replace them, after all this time as I have rubbed the dye down with repeated spit shining. Excellent product.
