LawPro Dispatch 2.0 8 Inch Side-Zip Duty Boots feature:
I bought this boot over two years ago and they lasted going through the rigors of an Academy, multiple hours on the floor walking around the inmates, climbing, running, bending and stooping. They finally wore out and I will be buying another pair in about a month. I was very satisfied with this product and was very pleased at how long they lasted given how much they cost.
I love the price, but they are only 2 years old and need new ones. The side seem cracked open and tearing up at the crease near my toes. I still may but again. Hopefully this doesn't happen again.
I still have a pair of the older version that I wear during inclement weather. I've had them for 9 years now. They are a little worn but they are holding up. I also have the new version I wear at work (less than a year) and they are already on the verge of being replaced. Why did they have to change a good thing? Disappointed to say the least. My next pair of boots will not be LawPro.
These are the best boots for the value I could find. They wear like sneakers the first day. Don't even consider getting them without the side zipper the extra $ is well worth it.
I liked the last ones I got so I i got theme again.
Nice Looking with excellent fit and comfort, and what seems to be very good ankle support. I am pleasantly surprised at the price for the quality. I am replacing an older pair of Law Pro boots. I prefer the soles of the older boots. They seem to have a more athletic feel when moving.
I bought these boots about 6 months ago and have to say that I am not happy with them. The soles are no thick and almost everything can be felt thru them. The strap at the top to secure the zipper is made of cheaper material. Bates has a much better boot as I have switched back to them!!!
The low price concerned me. Seemed too inexpensive. Cheap? After reading the reviews a number of times I took a chance and ordered them. Glad I did. I put them on and walked around the house. Very comfortable and the size is right on. I am very impressed,
I bought these several weeks ago and usually I would have to suffer during the break in period...Not with these..Comfortable from the Start
After reading reviews from some posters about a difference from ver 1 & the current version (ver 2) of these boots, I was a bit skeptical, but I decided to try them anyway since a lot of people said that the other reviews were helpful. I can't speak about ver 1, but ver 2 is great! True to fit, look sharp and professional, and needed no break-in time. And of course, you can't beat the price. I would recommend these to anyone who needs an 8" leather boot!
I have had my boots for about 1 year now and I love them. I am diabetic and they are better than my 300 dollar diabetic boots. They are lighter, softer, have better support all around and they are almost waterproof, plus my feet do not sweat much in the and for a diabetic that's a good thing. I have a K-9 and I have put these boots thru hell and they just keep asking for more. I will buy another pair when these are worn out, if that ever happens, and I tell all my friends that have spent 2 to 3 times what I spent that they bought the wrong boot and they need to get some of these.
Based on the other reviews, I took a chance and bought these boots three months ago. They are much better than I expected. I have paid twice as much for boots of the same quality. The side zippers are heavy-duty YKK brand, something I always look for. They polish well. The stitching lines are straight, which indicates good quality control at the factory. I did replace the insole with my own for more cushion and arch support, but I do that with any boot.
"I`ve worn the version 1 both on and off-duty for the past four years and been very satisfied. (And as a k9-handler my boots has to take some serious beating!) I`m a believer in the saying ""If its not broken - don`t fix it"", so I was highly sceptical when I saw they came with a version 2, but in this case I`ll make an exception... These boots might be a tiny bit heavier than the old ones, but they also feels a lot stronger and steardier, yet still as soft and flexible in the right spots as the old ones. I`ve worn them since mid december now. Three months through blizzards, snow and slush, but they look as if I bought them yesterday. And I`ve just ordered another to pairs for colleagues of mine that I`ve recommended these for..."
These are very comfortable boots. Minimal break in time. I dropped a star on my rating because I liked the previous version of these boots more. However, even though these boots do not feel as light as the originals, they do feel more sturdy. Good traction in mud and snow. I am also amazed at how fast they broke in. If I had not been spoiled by the original Dispatch boots these would be my all time favorites.
